A scenic drive and a sweet adventure
A recent trip to Ricardoes Tomatoes was a highlight for residents who just love getting out and about with friends.
Organised in response to residents’ requests, the excursion to the popular attraction included a lovely scenic drive through the surrounds of Wauchope and outskirts of Port Macquarie.
At the farm, there was something for everyone. First stop had to be the café where we enjoyed a hot drink and Ricardoes famous scones with fresh cream and delicious home-made strawberry jam. Afterwards, we took a slow wander through the hydroponic farm to admire the walls and walls of stunning fresh tomatoes and strawberries.
Of course, the next stop was the farm store where we stocked up on some of the award-winning jams, chutneys, macadamia nuts and local honey.
