CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) Attention Staff and Visitors to Residential Aged Care homes

The advice for Residential Aged Care facilities and Home Care Service providers has been updated as at 3 May 2021:

Visitors do not need a flu shot to enter, whilst it is highly recommended that people have an annual flu shot, it is not a requirement for visitors to enter a residential aged care facility.

Some visiting restrictions are being lifted to pre-covid visitation;
•     Visitors are no longer required to pre-book in to visit residents
•     No restrictions on visiting hours
•     Screening questionnaire is no longer required
•     Visitors must sign in and out, of the visitors log book and QR code
•     Temperature checking is no longer required, when signing in and out

Visitors must not enter the facility at all if they:
•     have been to any hotspots in the previous 14 days
•     have COVID-19 symptoms- fever (37. 5°C or higher)
•     are in close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19 and are within their self-isolation period
•     live in a household with a person who is currently self-isolating and waiting for a COVID-19 test result

If you have any questions or concerns relating to our COVID-19 precautionary measures for our Care Homes, please contact us on (02) 6586 9400 and speak our Clinical Services Officer of the respective Care Home.
Regularly visit the NSW COVID19 website on areas of active community transmission

Our resident's safety is of the utmost importance, and we thank you for working with us to ensure their wellbeing.

Thank you for helping us to achieve this.
