CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) Attention Staff and Visitors to Residential Aged Care homes

Updated:  Wednesday 30th December 2020                  

The advice for Residential Aged Care facilities and Home Care Service providers has been updated as of 8:30 pm 29 December 2020:

Until further notice, all staff and visitors must wear a surgical mask whilst in a Residential aged care facility

  • Until at least 11.59pm on Wednesday 6 January 2021 no visitors from Greater Sydney are permitted to visit residents in regional residential aged care facilities. There are no restrictions on people from regional NSW visiting residents in regional facilities

  • Until at least 11.59pm on Wednesday 6 January 2021 all residential aged care facilities in the Greater Sydney area (including Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong City Council) must exclude visitors, except those performing essential caring functions.

  • Visitors will be escorted to and from the resident's room and remain within the room during the visit.

  • Screening and questionnaire will continue

Normal visiting hours Monday to Friday 9:00-3:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am to 12:00noon.

If you have any questions or concerns relating to our COVID-19 precautionary measures for our Care Homes, please contact us on (02) 6586 9400 and speak our Clinical Services Officer of the respective Care Home.

Further advice will be provided Wednesday 30th December 2020 as the Government better understands the pattern of the current outbreak.
